About the Author
Following a career as a footballer with Liverpool FC and USC Lion in Australia, Derek Acorah began to tap into the psychic skills he first noticed as a child. He became an Investigator with the International Society for the Paranormal Research (ISPR), the world's authority in Field Parapsychology, in 1998 and has since become one of the country's most famous mediums, with several regular TV shows on Living TV. He makes appearances on various other TV and radio shows, both in the UK and the US, and has toured internationally.

A must for Derek Fans!,

Being a fan of Most Haunted and Derek Acorah, I couldn't resit buying this book. I have not read any of his other books, but found this one provieded a history of Dereks life, from Childhood to the present day, briefly detailing the work he has carried out over the years.The tone of the book mirrors that of Dereks performance on TV. The book reads as if very softly spoken and is a joy to read but I found myself questioning weather some of the words used in the text had been made up? For anyone who has watched Derek at work they will know he tends to express himself using combinations of words. Dialect aside, he gets his point accross very well. The Psychic Adventures of Derek Acorah, is both warming and pleasurable to read. This is definately a book for any Derek Acorah fan.

I'm a fan of 'Most Haunted'and have always been a bit curious about Derek Acorah's part in it, when he is often taken over by spirits etc, and talking to Sam. I wondered if he was just a failed footballer looking for another way to make his name and money. Having read this book, I am now a big fan of his! He explains his first encounter of seeing a spirit, and how he grew up with this gift. He tells some facinating stories of spirit encounters and how he is affected, and also tells you all about his relationship with Sam, who is his spirit guide. He tells a really funny story about how he gets pestered by spirits when trying to take time out from his work. I would recommend this book to believers and sceptics, and I bet even the sceptics would struggle not believe in the spirit world, even just a bit!!

Derek Acorah's latest book certainly lives up to expectations for all those interested in his highly entertaining television and theatre appearances. Derek's writing style is compelling from beginning to end as he explains his first psychic experience to his rise and rise as a household name. His book contains numerous short stories which recount his experiences working with individual clients to team investigations including the International Society for Paranormal Research and the Most Haunted series. I found each story interesting and heart warming as Derek relayed his positive nature and humour to most of the book. Those who are aware of Derek's spirit guide Sam will also be treated to an insight into their relationship and adventures together as they encounter good natured and malevolent spirits. This truly is an amazing book which I would highly recommend to anyone.
