This IS Leary`s definitive work. Its an absolutely essential guide book for anyone planning on taking a psychedelic drug.I never read this before my experiences but looking back on them now this book makes sense of the seeming random-ness of my hallucinations and sensations by placing them into three sections of the trip or Bardos ( being based on the Tibetan Book Of The Dying).As John Lennon once said,"Learys method is the only way to trip". Word.

anyone seeking enlightenment or understanding of themselves really needs to read this book. Leary combines the age old scripts of the tibetan book with his own seens of psycadelia to a mindblowing effect. he has a real sense of understanding and sets the facts straight. this book tells you both how to enjoy and deal with a psycadelic experience. anyone interested in eastern philosophy, psychology or specificly enlightenment will love this book. a leary must have!!!

what a book. anyone even mildly interested in the more psychedelic drugs, and the infinite possibilities for mind-expansion involved with them must read this stunner.
Leary relates the freeing of the consciousness back to ancient Tibetan wisdom of life with incredible clarity, pointing out the advantage we now have of being able to 'shortcut' the years of spiritual training and discipline usually needed to attain Nirvana.
even if you don't dabble in drugs this is great introductory reading into ancient Buddhism.
