Psion netBook 26 Jan 2010
Pro's:

Further to what other people have said, the original netBook was an excellent no frills machine that gave true "instant on" power, fantastic keyboard and the ability to create complicated well formatted documents. The touchscreen allowed easy embedding of charts, drawings and pictures into documents and the 8hr battery life meant that I could work wherever and whenever I needed. EPOC 32 was the best OS available for this type of machine. Leather bound case made it easy and comfortable to carry around.

Con's: The screen was very poor/useless in bright daylight. Connectivity was always the let down, the "netBook" image should have been supported by built in WIFI and bluetooth that wasn't even directly intergrated into the later WinCE netBook Pro. Converters to other formats had to be purchased separately as PsiWin was a bit naff.

Sad to see that Psion sold out a loyal fan base and dumped EPOC.

Gave my netBook to my brother but would happily get another one (probably put Linux on it though).

next MC218/psion 5mx.
upgraded series 7> has Wifi/Ethernet LAN/modem through the PCMCIA slot.

boots up instantly. have a search for a video and you will see what an underrated piece of kit this is.
Cult following with people still preffering psion EPOC(symbian) over blackberries (i have most up to bold and new curve), laptops, nokia communicators (i have all of them up to e90 - why have they not got that right yet?!)
best keyboard ever

all imho

It's not a Netbook 31 Mar 2009
It was good in it's day, but not before it's time. It has no usb, wifi, bluetooth or email.

So how can it be a Netbook?

Has a Netbook price.

For the money you could get a REAL NETBOOK
