Expected a wooden one but like the clear plastic as I can see what is happening to my knitting.
I haven`t done french knitting for about 57 years and had forgotten how to start. Basic instructions can be found on the internet.
It is a lovely strong product and I am enjoying using it.
I must apologise for saying the french knitting dolly is "plastic". I do not want to mislead other buyers.
I have a salt and pepper mill which are the same material and they are classed as "acrylic".
The dolly feels so nice to use and my french knitting is very neat and even.
I really do love it.
Thank you.

Some of the older children found this easier to cope with than the more narrow ones. They had great fun making legs and arms for their knitted dolls. The flexible pin was definitely more popular than the wooden ones.

A modern example of something my dad used to make me from wooden cotton reels. This was bought for an adult with learning disabilities, but it is too difficult - you need to be quite dextrous to use it.
