Not many bands are worthy of a 'Greatest Hits' or 'Best of' Volume 2 but Stackridge have truly earned it with their wonderful body of work.
If anything, this collection is slightly more endearing than the first Angel Air 'Best Of' and contains some of the band's most warm and loveable compositions.
`Teatime' is a beautiful opener which 'warms the cockles'. `God Speed the Plough' is a masterful piece of writing and `It's a Fascinating World' is simply charming.
This album includes some recent compositions as well as gems from the Seventies and with this in mind 'Something About the Beatles' is absolutely sensational - it really should be a household classic...but of course it probably never will be and shall remain a badly kept secret by those of us that love and follow Stackridge.
Whether this album serves as an intro to the band or is bought as an addition to your Stackridge collection, it is well worth a listen and definitely worth a five star review!
