These solar-powered lights spend the day drinking in energy from the sun, which they then convert to 6-8 hours of illumination at night. Glorious bright LED bulbs are controlled by a built-in light sensor that automatically switches on and off, so you can add that familiar twinkle to your home and yard while enjoying the modern conveniences of solar power. **other colours like red, yellow,multi-colour are also available, simpley search PROXIMA in the lighting catalogue***
Happened on this product by accident after a long search on the internet for solar christmas lights that weren't too expensive. The dispatch of the item was very rapid and on receipt of the lights immediately placed the solar charger in the garden on a horribly wet and cloudy day for about 5 hours. I wasn't expecting much but was really surprised that even after that short period of charging, on a real bad day, lacking good natural sunlight the LEDs managed to light and stay working for over 10 hours. Very impressed for the money paid.
We loved these, unfotunately we live in hte wrong end of the country for a solar charged light...I believe though in sunny areas these will be great, even in the Schottish winter they managed to burn for around 2 hours...so I am looking forward to slightly better times in summer :-) Quality is very good, but don't expect much light if you do notlive where its sunny and dry!!!
I'm really pleased with these lights. I have them weaved in around the trellis by my front porch. Even on a cloudy day they gather enough electricity to light up for a large part of the night. It's lovely to come home in the dark to see them lighting up the way. I'd recommend them.
