About the Author

Louisa Jones has lived in Provence for over 30 years. She has become a specialist in Provencal food and culture, and conveys this region's traditions, cuisine, and atmosphere. Chef Jacque Chibois has earned two Michelin stars, and was named "Chef of the Year 2002" by the prestigious Pudlowski Guide. His restaurant, La Bastide Saint-Antoine in Grasse, France, is celebrated around the globe for its inventive cuisine that uses local, seasonal products. He is co-author of the best-selling Saveurs et parfums de l'huile d'olive (Flammarion). James Beard-Award nominee Dan Barber is owner and chef of Blue Hill at Stone Barns, a restaurant, working farm, and educational center in the Hudson Valley.

A wonderful book with recipes by a wonderful chef. For me, this book brings back very happy memories of holdiays in Provence and especially a magical stay at Jacques Chibois' Bastide St Antoine in Grasse. It is much more than a recipe book, however, with stunning photographs of Provencal houses and gardens and some lovely sections on all sorts of aspects of Provencal life.
