4.0 out of 5 stars Great action... 19 Aug 2012
Platform for Display:Xbox 360|Edition:Wrecking Ball Radnet Edition
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
You are Sgt James Heller (created by Alex Mercer)a former soldier rampaging through three zones. The weapons are excellent - Hammerfists, Claws, Blade, Tendrils and Whipfist. The Bio Bomb is excellent.

The story follows Heller turning against Mercer, he has to infiltrate various labs, army bases etc. Plenty of side missions that become a little repetitive after the second zone. The fun part of the game is all the carnage and imaginative ways to destroy. The game is free roam and it really allows the player to immerse themselves in several hours of adult fun.

By the final third of the game Heller is all powered up with his weapons, he can fly helicopters and drive tanks - 44 of the 46 achievements are available through the first play.

Overall lots of action, superb weapons and a lot of fun for a weekend.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great playing game 26 Oct 2012

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Well, having never played the previous Prototype I didn't know what to expect, but it didn't take long before I was running up walls and flying through cities. This game is a real treat. Only thing wrong is a sense of "that's it?" when it ends. The game is really short and besides the last boss, doesn't pose too much of a challenge. The game was still worth buying though and I am happy with my purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic game. 23 Aug 2012

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Very pleased with Prototype 2. Well worth my £40.

If you like, blowing things up, Killing Zombies, Driving tanks and Choppers, and then blowing up Zombies and just overall having fun the game will appeal to you.

Graphics wise ..... meh. Not the best but good enough to enjoy the game, but most areas are not disntinct enough. Speaking of the map size it's bigger than Protyope 1's map, but the issue is that the "Red Zone"(The entire area of Prototype 1) has been cut in Half for no apparant reason. So you'll miss some areas, but this does not subtract from the overall appeal of the game.

Powers are a lot easier to use and having two powers on at once is a good idea especially for those who like to chain up massive combos. SOme powers like the armor mode etc are missing from Prototype 2, but this is replaced with a Shield like power, which can deflect incoming rockets/missiles back at enemies, or you can direct a reflected rocket at another enemy if you choose.

Drving vechicles and choppers is a beeeze very easy to get used to with very simple but effective controls, and you can even tear the weapons of the vehicles and use them against Blackwatch or whoever it is your trying to kill.

The story is okay but nothing original.

Overall it's a fantastic action game that's well worth the time and money. However once you are maxed out on everything you won't have a reason to come back to the game.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sandbox Slaughter 23 Aug 2012

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
In my opinion computer games are designed to be fun. Perhaps someone should have reminded Rockstar of this fact when designing `GTA 4'. Here is a game that tries to stop you having fun by constantly having you bombarded by police and then restarting the mission. The likes of `Prototype 2' are blatant rip offs of the genre that the `GTA' series helped to create, but it is a lot more fun to play.

Taking place soon after the first game, `Prototype 2' sees you step into the shoes of angry James Heller whose wife and child are dead from the virus that has morphed you into a superhuman. You seek revenge on the army that let your family die and the man responsible for the plague - Alex Mercer. This revenge takes the basic form of running around an open world, taking part in 3rd person combat and killing everything you see without the aid of a moral compass. `Prototype 2's story is not particularly relevant and is a little long winded at times. Instead treat the game like an awesome sandbox in which to use Heller's powers.

The game is a touch on the easy side as Heller dominates everyone in the city. Personally I like this as I don't play games to restart over and over again. The main story missions shake things up slightly, but the bulk of the game is fetch quests (kill that, destroy there). Thankfully, doing this is great fun. The combat is excellent and although the camera sometimes twitches and becomes lost, the game is out and out fun. Graphically, things are reasonable, without being spectacular. This allows for more things to be on the screen - but slowdown does occur.

Despite the slowdown, bland missions and obnoxious language, `Prototype 2' is a fun game that does not outstay its welcome.

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I played the first game and it was brilliant! Then I was very excited when I heard the second was coming out. When I finally got Prototype 2 it was such great fun!! Its like the first and much more. It has more abilities and powers. With an awesome plot and much more stuff to do! You can glide trough the air and the movement is out of this world incredible. You also gain the ability to hunt and track your enemies down with a cool pulse wave. I would seriously recommend this to anyone who loves a game with amazing action and wicked violence. ITS A THIRD PERSON SPECTACULAR!!
