No problem with dealer, the kit arrived in time and in good shape. About the kit, well, i'm an absolute beginner in electronics and i find it too basic, special mention to the *really* small protoboard. Anyway, if you are planning to get started with arduino and buy this kit, i recommend you to buy some components, specially transistors, capacitors and some leds.

Although there is some confusion with the wording, this is not really a kit for absolute beginners but instead a kit for people whom have a good grasp of circuitry / coding as there is no manual this can be supplemented by going onto the Arduino website and following their tutorials (I suggest you buy a bigger breadboard because the diagram does not match up with the breadboard supplied, needless to say it comes with plenty of resistors and the 330ohm resistors happily supplement the 220ohm resistors.

There should however be a more in depth description of what you get.

But all in all this kit is perfect for people who know the basics and not nothing at all, I suggest using the Arduino website to teach yourself more about Arduino before picking this kit up.

As almost a complete novice I think a kit described as a starter kit, really needs to contain a manual. Though to be fair the description does point out this omission. For example it took me a while to find the pin out for the 3 colour LED. I would have liked to know which, if any, book the kit was designed to accompany.

Just received my UNO (in good time), but am dissapointed to see that I've been shipped the "SMD Edition". This does NOT contain the removable Atmega328 processor, but rather a surface-mounted one. i.e. if I fry the processor, I'm going to have to buy a whole new UNO.
