So I have a proteam silver folding bike.

Pros -
# 80 pounds price
# once remember to lift up the central level, folds easily in half
# Great for flat
# easy to get 2 thin antipart theft (theft-cautious owner)

Cons
# required a visit to my local bike shop
# had to get the gear cable replaced (apparantly is was brake cab;e ) or the otherway round.
# plastic holder for seat post fixing, is loose, and as you pull up seat, comes 'out' thus seat is loose.
# hard to get pressure right to stop seat sliding down when sitting on it.
# tough to undo fron handlebears (a good thing execept when trying to fold quickly).
# got front twisted when folding\unfodling and so front reflector broke off.

notes
# kickstand not good for holding weight with bike basket with anything more than helmet in it.
# I like it, I considered it a good price buy at the time. And was lucky by bike knowledgeable brother helped me to set it up, enough so i could ride it a bit (though then decided best to get set up properly by local bike shop).
# gears dont' seem to go high or low enough, sometimes can't drop ?down? enough.
# took on a train , used 2 bungiey fat hooks to hold up, as only folded down middle, so it fitted neatly, and was quick to load in and out, esp with the several heavy bags i had too.

Tried to give as much useful info as possible. Please comment if have specific questions. Please say if helpful, even if you didn't like my style, or if you don't like this reveiw, please give feedback to help make it better. Thanks ;)

Amazon Verified Purchase
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT !!! or anything from this vendor. the bike is not fit for purpose. you can't ride it. The seat slides down and the bicycle does not roll forward freely. it should not be sold to anyone. in addition the vendor is totally dishonest providing false information and refusing to accept returns . all returns come back to sender ( buyer) making it very difficult to obtain a refund. I felt totally conned by the vendor. I am surprised he is allowed to sell this as Amazon know

This cost me £89 about a year and a half ago. Since when was it worth £399? It's not a Brompton. Since then with
regular commuting...

- the thing about the cables is true - brake cables used as gear ones. They work ok though.
- the left crank never fitted properly and had to be replaced immediately.
- the tyres stank of creosote and wore out after one month. [lots of punctures too]
- the quick release seat post clamp snapped after 3 months and had to be replaced.
- the pedals cracked up after about 6 months, as did the chain guard on the front sprocket wheel.
- after a year, the rear wheel spokes collapsed and I had to replace the wheel. getting the freewheel off
was a nightmare. Exact spare parts are not available so the brakes and gears needed realigning.

Otherwise everything is ok. For £89, if you can be bothered to do all the maintenance yourself - great. If you don't
do that and have to go to a bike shop every few weeks, it'll cost you more than a Brompton. In that case just get
a Brompton. BUT BUT BUT, that was all for a price of £89. At the end of last year, this went up to £399 - frankly
ridiculous. Do not buy this for £399 - it's not worth it.
