Bought this on the basis of the previous glowing review, but unfortunately it's far from perfect as it doesn't seem to have been thought out that well - the major issue for me is the complete lack of access to the 'Hold' switch and the play/rew/fwd buttons on the top.

Pros: nicely made, feels like it will last, looks smart, snug fit, cut-out for headphones rather than 'hole' makes it easy to open and close

Cons: there's no access to the Hold switch (at all!), or the quick access buttons on top (when the case is closed), and if you open the case to use one of the quick access buttons, as you push on the buttons, that slight pressure is enough to activate the Hold switch against the inside of the case, so you have to take the player out of the case completely!. Also pricey compared to alternatives.

I was very impressed with the high quality construction of the Proporta Walkman case - it also looks good and is functional. What more can I ask for.

I decided to purchase this case for my new walkman as the case which I originally bought did not do the walkman justice (a bit tacky). The case is finished to a high quality and your walkman fits very snugly inside, I think it is well worth the extra money for this nice case.
