I have read many books on prophecy and the vast majority are based on speculation and conjecture. Chuck Missler has a more pragmatic approach. Instead of trying to sell his own interpretation of future events, he teaches us to do our homework and to interpret events as they happen. Of course guessing what MIGHT happen is part of human nature but Chuck has done much of the homework for us. For example he has traced the origins and meanings of several words whose meaning in the Biblical prophecies is unclear such as the word " isles" which has a broader meaning. What he does stress is that the purpose of prophecy is NOT to try to guess what will happen in the future, prophecy is in The Bible so that we can recognise it when it IS happening and HAS happened and come to understand that The Bible is true and can be relied upon. Only an omniscient Creator who exists outside time can know the future, and Chuck provides statistical evidence to show that the probability of guessing the future by chance and with such accuracy is virtually impossible; 100 to 1 is unlikely 1,000,000 to 1 is VERY unlikely and the odds against guessing the Biblical prophecies by accident are on the level of you identifying the ONE atom in the whole universe that has been marked,to the realist;unlikely to the point of being impossible. 80% of Bible prophecy already has been fulfilled and because of this very fact, we can be certain that the remaining 20% will be.This book will help you to understand what is happening around us and to prepare you to interpret for yourself what is going to happen in the future. Strongly recommended.
