5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent and penetrating, 24 Sep 2001
Lesslie has, once again, written an incisive and penetrating book concerning the culture of science and contrasting its black and white empirical analysis to the human experience. By analysing the basic assumptions on which science is founded Lesslie brings the reader to the uncomfortable position of releasing their need for certainty and replacing it with a proper confience.
