Good read - good ending. I am new to kindle - I don't want to pay for books to read and try to find some that don't cost anything. Good story and a good lesson told here even though it is a novel. This author writes well as I have read some of her other books.

THE MAJORITY OF KIM VOGEL SAWYER'S WORK TAKES PLACE IN THE MIDWEST DURING THE 1800S. THE CHARACTERS ARE OFTEN IMMIGRANT CHRISTIANS. HOWEVER, THIS NOVEL TAKES PLACE IN THE 2OTH CENTURY USING LIFE' CURRENT TEMPTATIONS AND SITUATIONS. YET, THE WRITING HAS THE SAME PASSION AND TECHNIQUE THAT VOGEL SAWYER IS NOTORIOUS FOR. I DIDN'T WANT THE BOOK TO END, BUT EVERYONE OF HER CONCLUSIONS IS A DELIGHTFUL SURPRISE!
