The general feeling of "The Promise Ring"is (like so much of Jon's solo work) is one of celebratory nature .
If you are down, put this CD on the player or import it into your computer after buying it
and give it a listen. If you like Jon or Yes, I would challenge you to stay in that negative mood..
His voice and this music is like opening the window of a cottage overlooking the
ocean on a breezy sunny day and having that fresh sea air wash you clean as you give
thanks for the day. Top notch musicianship from beginning to end!
Positive lyrics without being saccharine. All I can say is this is a very pleasurable
listen, but make no mistake, I mainly recommend this to those who are fans of the joyous side of
music and especially those who know something of Jon Anderson or Yes. If you are a fan of Metallica
or Sabbath this may not be your cup o' tea unless you are an extremely eclectic listener like myself.
But if you like this side of the wonderful gift called music, then lift your spirits, and if you are a player
of music then pick up your acoustic guitar, have some fun while you play along!!
