If you're a fan of power metal, trad metal, prog metal, just metal etc.. Then you'll love this. It will really appeal to fans of Nevermore, Iced Earth, Blind Guardian and the like. This album and Blaze's last album The Man Who Would Not Die really are some of the best metal albums released in the past couple of years. What really stands out is Blaze's baritone, very well sung and definitely without pitch correction (Blaze uses a lot of vibrato which is nearly impossible to pitch correct. The other standout is Nico Bermundez's lead playing. Nico can shred with the best of them, but what you get is some really well thought out emotional lead playing with a perfect balance of lightning speed shredding and well placed melodic slower parts. Blaze Bayley is also one of the hardest working metal musicians around, constantly touring, I've seen them twice in the past year and I can safely say you won't be disappointed! What I can't understand is why the Blaze Bayley band haven't reached higher success, they've got the songs and they can deliver it live! Don't hesitate to buy this album and the last one.
