About the Author

Rolf Fehlbaum is Vitra's chairman. After earning a degree in the social sciences, he founded a multiples publisher together with two partners, produced documentary films for Bavaria Munchen, and worked as adviser for education and training for the Bayerische Architektenkammer (Bavarian Chamber of Architects) beginning in 1973. In 1977 he took over the leadership of Vitra. He began to internationalize the firm, formed relationships with the leading authors in the field of design, commissioned works from some of the world's most important architects, and founded the Vitra Design Museum. Cornel Windlin has been responsible for conceiving and designing Vitra's home catalogues since 2004. Since 1993 he has run his own studio in Zurich. He is well-known for his work for the Museum fur Gestaltung Zurich (Museum of Design Zurich), the Schauspielhaus Zurich (Zurich Playhouse) under the direction of Christoph Marthaler, the Tate museums in London, and other institutions. Many of his book and poster designs have received national and international awards.

Great condition. Great price. Great service. 20 Oct 2010
By Garfield S. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
After seeing this book for $70 (plus tax) at the Vitra store in NYC,
I found the same volume at Myopic Books, listed as very good condition,
but indistinguishable from new to my eye, delivered promptly for
$25 plus $3.99 standard shipping, bubble wrapped to keep it perfect!
Bravo! And love the Seller name!
