5.0 out of 5 stars It gets better and better! 14 Feb 2009
DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW!

American reality TV at its best - season 2 builds on the strongest elements of season 1 as the design challenges get harder, the designers more stretched and the judging panel ('top American designer' Michael Kors and 'Fashion Direct for Elle Magazine' Nina Garcia) raise the strakes, showing no mercy in their reviews of the designers garments.

The designers this season also show a noticeable increase in 'craziness' as they fight needle and pin against each other to Wow! the judges and secure a place in the final three - winning the opportunity to show their collections at New York's Fashion Week.

Do yourself a favour and buy seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4 all at once and then book a week off work for back-to-back viewings as I guarantee you'll be hooked!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lighten up, it's just fashion 25 Aug 2006
By Abbi Kat - Published on Amazon.com
Fabulous. Even though All seasons of this show seem to marathon daily on Bravo, each episode on the DVD has lots of conversations that were edited out of the original airing and my favorite--songs. With Santino' great pipes "Daniel Franco where did you Go" is a sure hit, as is Santino and Andre's duet "Don't let Emmit on the serger."

Lots of fabulous quotes and everybody's audition tapes (Daniel Vosovic's is the best) are a must see bonus feature. Plus you get to watch it whenever you want, and replay the songs over and over and over. If you like fashion and unforgetable people-this is definitely worth your money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tim Gunn is FUN! 23 Aug 2006
A Kid's Review - Published on Amazon.com
This is the best reality show of all time. I like that the contestants actually have to use creativity, ingenuity and competiveness to win. Also, designer Santino, while obnoxious, is also hilarious. His imitations of Tim Gunn, the dignified designer mentor from the Parson design school, are worth the price of this video alone. For example, he imitates Tim Gunn singing a Nine Inch Nails song. He finally gets "busted" for his imitations by Tim Gunn himself on camera. Also, Santino designs the weirdest Deutschland inspired lingerie of all time It has to be seen to be believed. (I actually loved all his other designs.) His catfight with Elle fashion editior Nina Garcia, who dared critizize the lingerie, is unintentionally hysterical. I also loved Andre, the flamboyant designer with the varying French, English and Southern Accent?!? He gets upset, cries and goes into a long and unintentionally funny speech about his passions to the bemused judges at one of the the high/low points of the show. Many other moments in this show are just as priceless. The outfits range from sublimely ridiculous to ridiculously sublime. Heidi Klum's maternity outfits are beautiful...and designed by Kara from the last season. This is an absolutely fabulous show about competition and creativity.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating watching; some of the best broadcast programming around! 12 July 2006
By Bunny Man! - Published on Amazon.com
While season 1 was great and compelling, season 2 trumps season 1. This gives you a real insider's view of what creating fashion is all about. You might quibble with some individual winners and losers, but in the last result the winner is truly the best of the lot. While I suppose you could have caught this all when originally broadcast or re-broadcast or indeed re-re-broadcast, the season is best watched in sequence. While my pick of the whole shebang is Santino's wonderful gown, showcased at the end of his runway show, Chloe's runway presentation is sensational.

All I could have wished for is a bit more follow-up on the winning and losing designers, and of course a coverage of Kara's own runway show (evidently, the final was filmed before the 3 finalists were chosen, but only the runway shows of those top 3 made it onto the air).

Obviously, I await season 3 with eager anticipation!
