I'm not a professional singer, just learning. This book has a range of styles as the first reviewer said, from jazz and blues to pop songs and musical numbers. They are also a range of difficulties, some with small ranges and others with larger ones, some slow, some fast. Some are all about the singing, while with others it's more about the character and expression you can give to them.The CD is pretty good quality, useful both as a practice aid and also for performance backing.

Good range of songs, for most of female voices, giving something for everyone. Maybe some newer songs would refresh this classical selection. Anyway, very good training.

Bought this book for my 16year old granddaughter who is studying Performing Artsat A level and also has singing lessons. She was delighted with it and said it's her teacher's favourite book.. Watch this space for future fame!
