As an actor, interested in all aspects of film, I cannot imagine a more detailed and succinct introduction to this world. David Irving and Peter Rea have found a way to clarify all the difficult areas of film direction and production in one small wonderful book. All film students will be grateful.

This book is a vital tool to have if you want to become a professional organised director/producer for a short film; it will equip you to become skilful at the duties the role entitles. You will understand the fundamentals of how to direct a team and how to organise a production. It will go through all the stages of production and make you aware of all the trouble and errors you may come across and illustrates to you how to become confident in tackling these mistakes because face it no production is a perfect one, you will come across many mistakes in projects, so this book will guide you into filming an amazing film. I would recommend this book to all students who are studying film or even people who are interested in the concept of moving image. After reading this book you will be equipped with all the necessary information for you to start your film or it will even help you throughout your project, just as a reference when you need help. GO BUY IT, IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN FILMING...... :)
