I read a reveiw about the Procter Squirrel trap but still purchased it even though some one had said it was no good.But now I know to my delight the trap was in the wrong hands. I have despatched 3 Squirrels that lived in my loft scratching and chewing electric cables and destroying personal possessions that we stored up there.By the way the first three I used a gun on, they were quickly despatched (humanely)but there was one left I stalked him for two months he was really clever using my Loft and a neighbours loft when it suited him he bullied the birds at their bird tables and commanded an area that was quite big I finally thought he is too cute and has survived running the guantlet of at least seven of the local cats that also stalk the gardens shared by yours truly.Anyway all the research and observation I knew I had to catch him when he least expected thats where The Procter-Stop trap came in a bit of peanut butter and a couple of monkey nuts he could not resist it got the trap last Monday set it up came home from Golf on Sunday afo there he was. So all I can say is that a bad workman blames his tools.Grey Squirrels are vermin if you put it on yourself to catch them it is against the law to let them go free back into the wild they must be culled but with respect! peace at last the gardens are back to normal and our summer clothes have more holes in them.The most important thing is the delivery was prompt and the kit is A1 thanks to all involved in the literal despatch of a Pest trap

Not a bad product,to date I have caught 8 grey squirrels over a period of 4 weeks,it does not always work though,I have seen a squirrel walk in and take the nuts then walk out again without the trap closing,I have fine tuned it so that the slightest touch sets it off as well,I think it is to do with the size and weight of the squirrel when he steps on the trap plate.I have seen a squirrel lift up the cage to get the nuts so I have to put a brick on the top to stop that,they even climb on top and reach in through the sides,so you have be one step ahead of them all the time.Even so I have still caught 8 of them and dispatched them with my gun.

I bought this trap to catch a young squirrel that had taken a shine to my loft. When I first used it the squirrel got the bait without setting off the trap. I then looked at the trap and found that if you just catch the door with the lever it will be that sensitive that anything touching the bait would set it off, sure enough withing 30 minutes of me doing this the squirrel was caught and is now enjoying life in the local park with it's other mates.

Squirrel trap
Didnt want to own a squirrel trap, but found it a blessing to get .rid of them in my attic. It was easy to use although i did go through an awfull lot of peanut butter!

Squirrel trap
This is an excellent product, well made and durable. Unfortunately my pesky squirresl are not heavy enough to trip the trap. Maybe I just keep on feeding them.

Don't bother!
Squirrels are far too dextrous & light to set this trap off. We've oiled it, set it as finely as possible & still witnessed the squirrel running in & out of the trap several times... Read more
