Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

The Procter Pest-Stop Sure-Set mousetrap is a conventional back-break trap that is humanely quick, and easy to set. This mousetrap is simple to set and use; once baited, simply click the lever down to set. The mouse has to tread on a platform to reach the bait-well, which triggers the trap, meaning that the mouse cannot take the bait without triggering the trap. With this trap there is no need to touch dead mice. The plastic construction makes for easy cleaning of the unit to ensure resetting is smooth. The product is sold as a twin-pack for added value and to increase catch-rate. When a mouse is caught simply hold the trap over a bin, push the plastic square and the dead mouse will fall out. Then reset the trap and, of course, wash your hands.

As mice tend to run alongside the walls of rooms, the traps should be set at right angles to the wall with the treadle closest to the wall. The traps can also be set in cramped areas due to their small size and height when set. Placing the trap behind furniture keeps them out of reach of pets or children.

Well worth it 21 April 2010
The traps arrived the same day (as I was getting desperate!).
I read the instructions and put peanut butter in the traps as recommended and set them.
I checked the traps in the morning and had the first kill. I will continue to set the traps until no more kills!

I Would recommend this as they are very easy to use. They are also easy to "empty" when you find a trap with a dead mouse. You do need to be careful when setting as they are very senstive.

    mouse control 10 Jan 2010
I had tried all sorts of mouse traps resulting in more hurt fingers than reduced mice, until I purchased the Sure-Set Plastic trap, now it's the mice and not the finger that are trapped. Very pleased with my purchase.

Tried 5 other brands and these are the only traps we had success with. Try peanut butter with a piece of milk chocolate stuck in it as bait.Chocolate on it's own doesn't seem to trigger the trap as I guess they can remove it too easily. Buy in bulk though, no point re-using after a kill (sounds harsh but after a while you become de-sensitized!)as they seem to avoid them because of the smell.
We've killed 6 so far in a week using these traps, even 2 in one trap last night! It does feel wrong, and I wish there was another way but when you're being terrorized by these dirty little blighters and humane traps don't work, what can you do?
