Core 2 Duo is KING (Gamming CPU),
By
This review is from: Processor - 1 x Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 / 3 GHz ( 1333 MHz ) - LGA775 Socket - L2 6 MB - Box (Personal Computers)
I Bought this CPU as a Replament for my Pentium D 3.0mhz , and this CPU is very very fast I can easley overlok my new core duo to 4100mhz without the temperatures increasing dramatecley
For gamming is faster than most quad cores even for games that actualy use the 4 cores However if you are in to video converting , music coverting or Multi theread appilication a Quad Core would be faster but even on this applications I suggest a Core duo if you have a graphic card you can use the gpu to do this tasks and is at least 4 times faster than any quad core Reasons Why Core 2 duo is KING ? Cpus only have one Front side bus and are 32bit & 64 bit If you 4 cores in the same Cpu they actually have to share the same resources and some times there is false sharing betewen this same resources wich causes fraps or less fluid game play.

Still a great processor which overclocks like a dream. Bought this for a mate when we were updating his old Pentium system, runs up to date games at very acceptable settings.

On finding the processor did not work, with my P6N SLI V2/Ultra Chipset Based Board,I then tried (unsuccesfully)to have it tested.I then wrote to wiky_iqbal via your good selves, hopeing to exchange it,but even after resending the e-mail,there still has been no reply. It is therfore difficult for me to recomend them to anyone.
