Fortunately, a powerful new analytical tool that has emerged in recent years helps you to do all of that and much more. Developed at General Electric, process mapping has been implemented in companies around the globe, and the results have been simply astonishing. Not Worth It 6 April 1999
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
Not a lot of original research here. The author seems to "borrow" an awful lot from public domain documents about IDEF. Several of the case studies in Chapter 5 are lifted verbatim from MetaSoftware's marketing literature. Lots of disparate chapters, no unifying theme. This is going to be the first book I've ever bought from Amazon that I will be returning. Definetely not recommended.

Very poor 24 Oct 2005
Format:Hardcover
Very dull and repetitive. Not interesting and repeats itself. Lacks excitement and states the same thing multiple times. Has an interest to uninterset ratio in excess of 75% and a restatement coefficient of above 50%.

I have to say if there is anything useful in this book it passed me by because of the acres of repetitive verbiage and plagiarised lists of advantages of process mapping.

If you're contemplating writing a book on any technical subject buy this book as the definitive how not to write a technical book.

Oh, and did I mention it's repetitive

Format:Hardcover
This book provides an excellent overview of the fundamentals of process mapping, including the IDEF methodology. It provides a series of brief but clear case studies in Chapter 5. Chapter 8 provides a unique INDEPENDENT ASSESSMENT of Process Mapping Tools. A must buy book for the individual that is beginning to understand and apply process mapping.
