i love these pens, bought this set and the 12 pack, and they contain all the colours i've ever needed except for a decent red when drawing manga. they blend well together and dont leave silly overlap lines, i would check amazon and cowling & wilcox for the best prices on sets. Wouldn't describe these as toys but they deserve a 5 * rating

Bought for my son for Xmas as he is into learning to draw Manga.
He loved the set and has already asked me for more colours.
Nice pens with both fine and broad nibs to aid with colouring your masterpieces!
Would recommend.

I am so pleased with these promarker pens. It comes with a good choice of colours. Each pen has two sides: the one side has a long, thin tip and the other side has a thicker tip. There are also a nr. 7 black fineliner pen included in the pack, which is a bonus. This set is just as good for professionals, as it is for students. And do not forget the price, which, in my opinion, is excellent value!!!

I recommend that you buy it, and try for yourself.

These pens were bought as a present for a relative. They are excellent, she has since created several pieces of manga art which have been coloured in very professionally. I also sometimes produce pieces of art, and have been impressed by the quality and considered buying a set for myself. The colours are good and consistent, though depending on whether you use special marker paper, or other types depends on how much the colours bleed. She mostly uses printer paper, and it's actually not too bad even on the cheapest sort. Overall a very good buy and high quality.

Bought this for an 11 year old. She loved it at first, but the colours are very limiting; you only get a handful of colours, and they are specifically chosen to replicate the drawing on the cover of the set. Once you have done this drawing a few times, the pleasure slightly wears off. The felt-tips are superb; for those new to manga, they are special ones that do not leave'colouring in' lines. They just colour as smoothly as if you had painted them. Like a previous reviewer, i too would have paid a little more for extra colours.
So all-in-all, brilliant for getting confidence up in an older child; they can get extremely 'professional' looking results, but the novelty wears off after a while. I think you are better buying this in conjuction with an extra set of the special felt-tips which are fairly easy to source on-line. That way, the child is able to take the things they have learnt from the set and apply them to a wider range of projects.

I got these and I loved them! I use them every day, and even though you only get a handful of colours, you cn still blend them together! :3
I didn't do the drawing on the front, I just got them for colouring my comics and my pictures. It arrived pretty fast, but the packaging was a bit bad :( It was open and the pens were falling out when i got it!
Also, when I draw its a bit limiting on how many colours you get, so i will be ordering another set!
Happy drawing XD

My son purchased these with his Christmas money as he is really in to drawing comics...and started to draw Manga. Thought they were a bit expensive for 'felt tips' but was swayed by other reviews. Have to agree with them! Brill! Only just got them so not sure how long they will last but will definately buy more.

Up date - He has now had them and used them on a regular basis for the last 12 months. They are still all working perfectly. Am now looking to buy a further set of colours for xmas this year.

I have never worked with markers before so I bought these to try them out and they are really good!

They are surpringly easy to use and get used to. Unlike felt tips, they don't leave horrible streaks on your pictures so you can easily achieve a solid block of colour. They also blend quite well if you use them while they are wet and you don't need darker colours like I thought, you can layer the same colour on top to achieve shading. If you don't facy wasting the ink, coloured pencil on top looks just as nice and doesn't spoil the picture at all in my view. I've had mine for a few months now so they last quite long unless you are constantly using them or constantly leave the lid off.

You'll need to use them on marker paper though or they will quickly dry up as other papers soak up the ink and it seeps through the paper which leaves marks the surface underneath(unless you are using extremely thick paper).
