These are a very nice set of 3 mixing bowls in a traditional cream ceramic. There is a large 10 inch bowl that is a great size for making cakes, rubbing fat into flour for pastry or to use with an electric whisk. the middle sized bowl is 8 inches across and just right for mixing a moderate amounts of mixture and the smallest more versatile 7 inch bowl ideal for keeping something in the fridge, making icing or small amounts of various mixtures. They were very reasonably priced for a set of bowls and are of fairly good quality. They wash nicely by hand or indeed in the dishwasher, all reasonably deep and all in all a pleasure to use.
I bought these to replace a 20 year old set of pyrex bowls that were getting rather tatty, although they are still ok and have lasted very well with frequent use but that's another story. I hope these will last as long, they have a lot of hard work ahead!

A word of warning, I have noticed on some reviews about mixing bowls that there are complaints of bowls marking after using an electric hand mixer/whisk. This is inevitable I'm afraid, the speed of the beaters against the sides and bottom of the bowls develop black scuff marks that do not wash off. these bowls are no exception and will mark. If this is going to bother you, use another bowl just for this purpose (a cheap plastic one perhaps, they are inexpensive and easily replaced when they get too bad) You could even find one to match the size of the bowl you use the most and place the plastic one inside like an insert, if thats possible. The scuffed bowl is still hygienic and will still work as a mixing bowl with or without the marks, it does it no harm and I just think it makes your bowls look well used and well loved.
