Our classic black enamelled Gourmet wok or stir fry pan is constructed from 3.5mm lightweight aluminium which is renowned for its excellent even heat distribution properties and coated with our tough ProCook Ultra non-stick lining so food won't stick or burn (and washing up is a doddle). Generously sized at 28cm it is perfect for cooking family meals such as rice noodles Thai curries and stir fry with its sloping sides and large self basting domed glass lid. With heat-resistant silicone handles which stay cool on the hob so you won't get your fingers burned! Suitable for all cookers except induction and safe for oven and dishwasher use.

This is a most effective utensil for stir fry cooking. Stable and heavy in use which means the only movement is the stirring process.

I bought this because I needed a deep fry pan. At the same time, I also bought a shallow fry pan, different brand. I have had this pan for a year and a half now and just had to throw it out. During the course of it's life with me, the inside of pan remained in good condition and never let me down when in use. However, after many washes in the dishwasher and just general use, the coating on the outside of the pan chipped off in many places. My other shallow (Tefal) fry pan's exterior purchased at the same time is still in excellent condition. I lay rubber mats between my pans and really care for them. However, due to the chipping and many dishwashes, the aluminium started to deteriorate as if something had eaten into the pan. I've just thrown it out, but am a bit bummed I have to buy another stir fry pan as this one was only in it's second year of life. It did the job, served it's purpose, my only complaint is the exterior deteriorating. I wash my shallow Tefal in the dishwasher and it's all in tact. For this, I give the product 3 stars.
