The Protec Athlete Protective Armband Pouch is an arm-band you can slip your iPod Touch or iPhone into when you go jogging or excercising.
The arm-band holds in the device by a combination of friction and by the clear window creating a vacuum against the screen rather like a tax-disc holder. It holds the device securely and I did not feel at any point that my very expensive iPhone was going to have a meeting with the pavement. Getting my iPhone back out was a little more of a challenge but once I realised that you have to squeeze the pouch to break the vacuum my phone slid out easily.
The lightweight material used to make the armband and pouch is unobtrusive and most importantly it is breathable so you shouldn't end up with a sweaty arm. There's also a little pouch to push your earphones into or to gather up the excess wire so it doesn't go flying around everywhere. There are openings on the bottom for the dock connector and the loud speaker, however you cannot easily access the volume keys since you have to press through the pouch. There are at least markings to show you where to press.
In general this is a pretty good well made product, however for me I had to knock its score down to 3 stars because I live in the UK and this pouch is not waterproof. Try as I might, I could not get my iPhone 4 under the little flap at the top to save it from any light drizzle, and even if I could then I wouldn't be able to plug my headphones in.
So, if you live in a lovely sunny country and never jog in the drizzle then this gets four stars. If you want to use this somewhere else, it gets 3 stars because you can only use it when its dry.
