1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY - This is not official! 19 Mar 2013
By AnnieG
Format:Audio CD
This version of the album is an overstock in terrible packaging of McCulloch's newest studio album... it isn't official and should not be bought!

Purchase his new Holy Ghosts package... it has this CD plus a new album of orchestral reworks in deluxe packaging for cheaper!

DO NOT BUY

3.0 out of 5 stars Kind of Boring 11 July 2013
By Ice Cream Man - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I love Ian McCulloch's music. He's one of my all-time favorites, both solo and with EATB. He just seems to be losing his edge though. Granted, this entire album is better than almost anything you can find on the radio these days, but compared to his previous stuff, this puts me to sleep. Vocals seem lazy and tired. Melodies are ho-hum. Not enough hooks or unique-ness to the tunes. I gave it 3 stars for the quality of the recording, and because it's Ian McCulloch.
2.0 out of 5 stars Poor attempt to reclaim greatness 8 Mar 2014
By thesmiths - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
A lackluster effort and album. His weakest solo recording. The album is as boring as my review. It's a poor attempt by a great artist.
