This is a collection of Beryl's work published in 1980 and it is just as fresh and amusing today - some quarter of a century later. Her use of colour and the subtle expressions on the subject's faces are a delight.
The foreword is by Edward Lucie-Smith an art collector and friend - he was with the Cooks when incidents occured that later became the theme for some of these paintings. Her paintings are worth looking at closely and then I defy you not to smile - just a little.
Superb - reflections on a real world!
