Book Description

The #1 bestseller and fastest selling autobiography of all time, "Private Parts, " will be released on March 14 as a major motion picture from Paramount Pictures and Rysher Entertainment. This is the event Stern's millions of fans have been waiting for. Yes, The King of All Media is back, letting it all hang out in his outrageous new movie. And here is the book that tracks the odyssey. In "Private Parts" Stern spills his life story, from his dysfunctional beginnings to his unlikely, turbulent rise to super stardom. In the process, he shares his views on everything from foreign policy to fatherhood and Madonna to masturbation, with lots of lesbians in between. No matter whose side you're on -- Cher's "I hate him. He's just a creep, " or Stallone's "I love him. I really love him" -- Stern's brutally frank "Don't ask, I'll tell" tome spares no group or institution.

Studded throughout with Howard's favorite photos, pickings from the Hate-Mailbag and illustrations, this is the original, in-your-face manifesto complete with movie art that will once again have fans storming the bookstores...and everyone else running for cover.

5.0 out of 5 stars Miss America + Private Parts = Book Gold 19 Jun 2013

Format:Hardcover
If you're a fan of Howard Stern, check this out ASAP. It's such a nice book with an underlying sweet nature, makes you feel sad that Howard and his ex-wife are no longer together.

1.0 out of 5 stars Crap-tacular. A book for the unenlightened 20 Dec 2011
Format:Hardcover
disappointing, as the guy obviously has had an interesting life and facinating career. But i just found the whole experience far too trashy, low brow and tabloid-esque. not to be read if you want to expand your mind. It might just be better to read the wikipedia page.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not so Private. 21 Oct 2010
Format:Hardcover
This is an enjoyable read. Funny, witty and full of observations from the world of Howard. In some areas, there is a tendency to ramble on a bit, but don't let that stop you.
Well worth reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars WE NEED MORE DJ'S LIKE THIS GUY IN THE UK! 19 Oct 1999
By A Customer
Format:Mass Market Paperback
James Whale eat your heart out there is only one shock jock and that man is Howard Stern. This guy makes Chris Evans seem like Mr Popular but when you read this book you end up having to love the guy. Not many DJ's say what is on their mind live on air let alone partake in some of the naughty games that Howard does. Private Parts is an excellent read. Learn how Howard started off as a nobody and became one of the most listened to DJ's. Howard takes you through his life whilst insulting a lot of celebrities along the way. Some of the references may well be very American but this doesn't ruin this excellent book. I had already seen the film before reading this book. I actually think the book is much better (and that is saying something!). A certain must read!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Why isn't he more well known in the UK? 29 Aug 1999
By A Customer
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Private Parts is a extremely funny read, Howard Stern proves not only that he can write but that he can write with both wit and humility. Sometimes at the same time. A few of the people he talks about are unfamiliar to those outside the US, but the fact you laugh anyway is testiment to Stern's writing.

Don't be put off by the 660 pages, it's big writing and you can't put it down anyway. Chris Evans eat your heart out.
