This is one of those whodunnits that could be a straight mainstream novel, because the people and their problems drive the narrative. They all became absolutely real to me. I hope Jessica Mann writes a sequel - I want to know where they all go next.

I really enjoyed this thought provoking and clever novel and loved the way it transported me to my favorite place in Cornwall

I can't think why this one isn't more famous, it was on a short list for the best crime fiction of the year prize and I think it should have won because it's got a real mystery, and people I believed in and she writes really well. Anyway it kep me hooked for two whole days and I went on thinking about it afterwards too.
