Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Yep this game is for the fans! and luckily I am a massive Prison Break fan, so I was always going to get this.
Anyway when I say this for us PB fans ... I mean if u have no idea what Prison Break is but think.. hey I fancy a new game based on a prison break then don't buy this ... in fact stop reading altogether.... but if you are like me a big fan of Micheal Scofield and Lincoln Burrows and want to witness there expolits from season 1 of Prison Break via the medium of game.. then you may enjoy Prison Break the conspriracy!

So if your still reading you will be happy to know that despite its many faults PB isn't another LOST VIA DOMUS ... it is at least much better than that!

As I said the game follows the events of Season One of the awesome TV Show Prison Break, sadly you don't play Pretty Boy Scofield, Linc or even T-Bag ... u play Tom Paxton ... who? Exactly? oh well .. Tom Paxton who you won't remember from Prison Break (as he wasn't in it) is a company man! (boo) who has been sent from the co. to see why a structural engineer Michael Scofield .. A law abiding citizen has suddenly got him self done for arm robbery and sent to Fox River Prison and whether or not it has anything to do with their recent set up, that convicted Lincoln Burrows of Murder, which in turn will lead him to be executed.

This idea isn't the worst in the world , I mean I can kind of see the argument in there isn't much point playing Michael Scofield and playing through everything you have already seen him do in Season One .... But still I had my own idea of a Prison Break game, a sandbox genre, playing Scofield, where u could interact with whole prison nad plan ur break out...... So I can't help being a bit disappointed with the way they have gone... this game is very linear and has you playing the bad guy. To be honest it works ok, apart from the fact I am about half way through the game and only met Scofield to talk to once and he just told me to shut up! Actually I am 3-4 hours in the game and only really spoke with C-Note and John Abruzzi, so it's not the perfect Prison Break experience (so Far).

The game play is very basic and to be honest at its heart PB is just a stealth game and which borrows from the likes of Splinter Cell but does real basic version of it. There are combat elements and whilst these feel quite fun, these too are very basic, jab, Hard punch, block. The mission structure is also very simplistic ... it evolves going to one of the Prison Break cast, then fetching them something .. This means sneak to A get something and take it to B ... this is pretty much the majority of missions.

The graphics also wont win any awards... whilst the character models are quite good (some are dreadful tho) for the main characters, the visuals are quite bland, not the worst this gen... but could be a lot better.

So bland graphics, very linear game play, basic game play... is there anything positive to say???

Well Yes... I am still enjoying the game when all said and done... it does capture the feel of the show quite well and the music is pretty much spot on . Walking through the yard with the Prison Break theme playing does feel good .The game also has original voice acting which is always nice,

It could also be said the developers have tried to put some depth in the game, via "working out" mini games to improve your fighting skills, underground fight clubs and even getting tattoos, but like everything these are weakly done.

The saving grace of Prison Break is the story, whilst at the time of writing this is really getting good. full of the usual PB twists and turns. As I said earlier the thought of playing this Tom Paxton isn't great at first, but whilst you're doing your thing you see the Scofield is up to first hand. As the rather good story unfolds it's constantly changes based on what Scofield is up to, the riot is a great example, or coming across Turk trying to kill Linc. The story line of Prison Break season one does go on all around you and there are lots of nice little fan touches, finding origami birds in drain pipes, coming across the model of Taj in pope's office ect..

So to sum up its not a disaster I'm glad I got it and am compelled to finish it, but it could have been sooooo much better.

I would say for a Prison Break Fan 3.5 / 5

For anyone else who just fancies sneak em up with a Prison Break feel 2/5 .....play Splinter Cell Double Agent instead?

4.0 out of 5 stars Good game for the fans of Prison Break 2 Feb 2011
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this game mainly because I am a big fan of the TV show. The voices of the original cast make it more authentic. It is a bit monotone as you are able to play this game as yourself and follow the others around. I would like to be able to play as different characters, which in my opinion would make the game more interesting. That being said, it is good enough to play as it is and for the price I think it is good value for money.I think for the fans of the show, this is a very nice addition.

3.0 out of 5 stars Prison Break: The Conspiracy (PS3) 7 May 2013
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
I throughly enjoyed the TV series of which this game is based on, and wanted to play this game to see how it would fair. Overall I was entertained by this game, mainly for the fact that I was already familiar with some of the characters and environments. If you are a fan of the TV series then you may find this an enjoyable play-through; perhaps for a rent though rather than a full purchase.
