"This book is a welcome attempt to look beyond familiar names and high profile institutions, to discover what is happening at 'the edge'." Printmaking Today (Spring 2007) 'For a printmaking-savvy audience, this is a book to read and critically assess... The writing is excellent.' Graphic Impressions Review

Printmaking, that encourages thought and experimentation 18 Feb 2011
By Gary Comoglio - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
I recently received this book for 2010 christmas, and I am thrilled to see the inventive ways in which global artists are transforming printmaking into contemporary works of art. This book focuses on 10-15 artists and their method for printmaking, and context of work. I like to see what contemporary artists are doing by taking the modern print out of the frame and using printmaking mediums to develop large scale projects, installations, and sculptural artworks that barely resemble a traditional print. I enjoy all printmaking books, and I am glad to add this to my collection, as these collaborative installations are becoming more popular in local art cultural centers.
