It's a nightmare! Your alternative is shelling out £70 - £90 for a part that might not fit/work/help or biting the bullet and replacing an eight-year-old colour printer/scanner which, other that refusing to print black text (despite multiple attempts to clean the offending nozzle), has actully given stirling service and excellent results over the years. I wasn't even completely sure the printhead was the problem; glossy colour prints came out fine, along with all images on any paper, but any document with written text from DTP programs just looked awful - I thought it might be a driver-related issue with the ptinter failing to recognise the font library instruction.
Anyway, the part fitted perfectly, dead easy to fit and the printer is back to it's very best. If it only lasts a year it's money well spent. If I get another eight years out of it I'll be over the moon.
