The collection of prints and patterns in this book is put together by author Bowie Style, who's also the creator of the blog of the same name.
This book is as good as the website, perhaps better. All the beautiful and fun-looking artwork can now be conveniently flipped through. 120 artists are featured in this 304-page book so that's plenty of variety. You'll see a lot of creative designs that can be applied to all sort of materials and products.
I hope there will be more volumes in the future.

I bought this book based on the high recommendations on amazon. However, I was quite disappointed when it arrived. I am a printed textiles student and bought this book for inspiration. Although it is well laid out and has lots of pictures and information, all of the work in it is very similar. If you like quite flat digital 'cutesy' work (lots of flowers, hearts and cute looking animals) then this book would be great but this isn't really my taste and I found it didn't have much else in it. It is a very thorough book looking at designers who are currently producing a particular sort of work for a niche market but it does not give a broad overview of print or pattern, and looking through it the work all starts to look very samey.

For anyone that either loves surface pattern purely for enjoyment or as part of their job this book is the business. I've bought many a pattern/surface dec book but this one is by far the best. Informative and inspiring, a real must have for any designer. It is the cats meow.

All cutesy and flowers
I was also dissapointed with the book. It has nothing to do with the blog: all the works are too similar and based on cutesy and flowers. Too much stereotype.
