This book offers a lot of modern and alternative meanings to each of the 78 tarot cards. The author goes to great engths to explain how he sees each card and then lists many modern things that the card could be showing in a reading. I admit that i couldnt read the cards after just reading this book but now that i am comfortable with them this book always offers an alternative approach to my readings. It is ideal if some of the more traditional card interpretations seem out dated or inappropriate to you.

I was surprised to read that the authors are highly experienced tarot teachers and readers - perhaps they have pushed outwards on a tangent of their own, away from established thought and tradition. Certainly their interpretations of the cards bear little resemblance to any others I have ever read. Whilst there is always room for innovative ideas I feel this book goes too far. I would suggest that beginners should be wary of using this book as a foundation.
