A New Paradigm for Psychotherapists! 29 Aug. 2013
By Psychology Maven - Published on Amazon.com
As someone who has been a long time student of psychology, metaphysics, and healing, I cannot say enough about this book. Quite simply, a small but magnificent book about cutting to the chase when it comes to doing therapy: focus on the present; release one's addiction to the distorted images of reality that are woven (with the use of association) into emotionally charged soap operas in one's mind; always acknowledge and try to be mindful of the Divine presence; and be a good steward of the environment. In doing so, you will have the joy of creating real, authentic relations with yourself, others, the planet, reality, and God. This approach goes way beyond mainstream approaches to therapy, which--in the author's view-- are nothing more than agents of social control in support of the values, dogmas, and institutions of modern industrial society. "AR therapy is a nonlinear transpersonal systems process perspective." Wow! Couldn't have said it better myself.

Looking forward to a follow up book with detailed case studies and portrayals. Well done, Laura Poole!
