Product Description

They're sassy, sexy and sporting tiaras. They're also raucous, ribald, and outrageous when they get together for goblets of mead and an afternoon's bitching. You know their names—they rose to fame as heroines who sought their Happily-Ever-Afters. And found them.

Of course, Happily Ever After is actually anywhere from eternity to three months and an annulment, if you've got a good lawyer and were smart enough to get a pre-nup. These six Princesses are just regular gals beneath the tulle and diamonds and they love to dish the dirt. When Aurora gets a publishing contract, they all decide to reveal the truth behind those beloved fairy tales; the lace gloves come off and the delicate fantasies are ripped away, revealing the shocking facts, the sexy adventures and the erotic passions beneath the surface.

It's down and dirty in a royal sort of way, complete with Princes who aren't so charming, blacksmiths, porn stars and bean stalks. Not to mention seven vertically challenged dudes, a guy with squeaky slippers and a pair of binoculars...well, you'd better read it and find out. But be warned...these words will never have quite the same meaning....

Once upon a time…

“Picture a coffee klatch of fairytale princesses sitting around on a slow afternoon, discussing what really happens in that period euphemistically referred to as “happily ever after.” In PRINCESSES GONE WILD, SL Carpenter and Sahara Kelly take some well-loved and familiar tales and retell them with the most convoluted, sexually warped spin imaginable...actually, it’s not even close to imaginable. In fact, I’m still trying to wrap my head around this one. Imagine taking the known and familiar, adding a cup of warped, a few tablespoons of bizarre and a pinch of kink, preparing with a lot of heat and serving with laughter.

You will never, EVER look at Jack and his beanstalk the same way. Never. Trust me on this. And if you’re looking for a laugh and a sexy new take on some very old tales, I suggest you spend an afternoon with PRINCESSES GONE WILD.” ~Kate Douglas, Best-selling author of Wolf Tales

This book by two established Ellora's Cave authors was a nice surprise as a freebie. It features Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Sheherazade, Cinderella, Beauty (her with the Beast, who, we find, has a totally beast-like appendage!) and Swan Princess, Odette, who've all gathered for their annual reunion/bitch-fest. These are in no way the innocent, sweet, good little princesses I was told about, but this makes for fun reading - not quite LOL fun, but from chapter 1, I had a smile on my face.

It is set in modern times (Sleeping Beauty has a mouth-wash endorsement, due to all the time she spends sleeping!, Cinderella gets accused of sniffing too much cleaning fluid, but states that it's for mixing with vodka and imbibing), the girls have blogs, get asked to open shopping malls, they use terms like EILF (a change on MILF; a 'group' that a certain Legolas might belong to) - it has basically every pop reference going, and plenty of bitching-tales full of sex and naughtiness.

It is a very good read, funny, cleverly-written (you DO NOT want to know what happens to Rapunzel when her hair gets cut by a lover. Belle's beast is no longer a beast now - he plays the stockmarket, so she is now a connoisseur of BOBs. And what Snow White got up to with her dwarves before her prince came along...And I will never be able to see Pinocchio in the same way ever again. Talk about sporting wood!), with hot, hot sex that these authors are known for, and unlike so many Kindle freebies, it doesn't have typos! I really enjoyed this as a bit of lite entertainment.

Six infamous princesses get together for their regular mead fuelled bitchfest, only to find one of them has obtained a publishing deal and wants to reveal the truth behind the fairy tale image. Princesses Aurora (aka Sleeping Beauty), Snow White, Cinderella, Odette, Belle and Scheherazade prove to be lewd, crude and very rude. Whilst most were technical virgins when embracing the Prince of their dreams for the first time, all have a vast amount of experience and some interesting tales to reveal.

There are plenty of extremely explicit sex scenes but as the majority are very tongue in cheek, this large dose of humour gives even the dirtiest of secrets a saucy air. Who would have thought Snow White's seven dwarves could be so talented, wondered exactly what Humphrey Dumpter (aka Humpty Dumpty) was doing on his wall before he fell or considered that Jack's massive beanstalk was a result of him self-medicating? 3½ stars
