Recently bought this for a birthday present and its fantastic, works every time and makes great popcorn. The machine is a little loud when running but as its not for long. Would never go back to making popcorn on the stove or using those awful microwave bags agaiN!

Bought one of these in the hope that we could easily make popcorn with:

1 - Less fuss and mess than popping it in a pan
2 - Less wastage/broken teeth due to unpopped corns

This little gizmo, unfortunately, fails on both counts. Due to the way it works (hot spinning metal cup), corns pop on the surface first which just explodes the unpopped corn on top of it out of the machine. Worryingly, these are like red hot little bullets that are a nightmare to catch in a bowl, so I wouldn't have young children around during use.

So you end up with lots of (red hot) unpopped corns - more than I used to get doing it in a pan - and most of the popcorn flies all over the place. Fun, but pretty useless..
