Some girls dream about being princesses. For sixteen year old Rosalinda, it is reality. She is princess of a small kingdom and is used to servants. dress makers and a crown. She is soon to become queen of her kingdom and her coronation is drawing near.
So we may fantasize about being royalty but no girl dreams of working at a bait shop (between going to school and getting picked on by the Queen Bee). But that's Carter Mason's life. The sometimes prone-to-having-an-attitude sixteen year old doesn't have many friends and maybe finds better company with the worms she sells at bait than she does with the girls at school.
So you have two different girls. Two totally different life styles. Two totally different home lands.
But sometimes things come together in strange ways.
When a twist of events brings Rosalinda to Carter's home, Rosalinda has to learn how to hide her Princess identity and become a typical American teenager. Will Carter get over her prejudices about princesses and will Rosalinda learn how to fit in?

this is a great movie, for anyone who likes the princess diaries and camp rock it is a must, it is a movie with no boring bits and disney pulled another good movie out of the bag again, brilliant!
The story is of a Princess who has to flee her country and hide in a 'normal' life being looked after and taught by an all American girl, it is funny and sad, heartwarming film.

KIDS LOVE IT.EVERY LITTLE PRINCESS WILL ENJOY WATCHING THIS FILM. WOULD MAKE A GREAT MOVIE FOR A LITTLE GIRL SLEEP OVER.

Although, DCOMs are uselly pretty good this could have been very bad. The idea of a PRINCESS MOVIE! Most of the fans are probably just because of Demi and Selena, but this is a really good movie. It was thoruly enjoyed by both me and my children. It handles just the right amount of fantasy and reality perfectly. This is one of those feel good films that you just want to see again and again! Youve done it again Disney Channel, please keep it up!

I'm 17 and this has to be my all time favourite film ever, for one it has funny moments and even moments that make you awwww (e.g "i hate you" "you do?" "no no no i didnt mean it that way i didnt mean 'i hate you', i hate you i meant i hate you like youre my best friend)aw :) and for two the soundtrack is amazing :) and for three i am hugee demi lovato & selena gomez fans :)

great for anybody to watch!! my whole family loves this movie!! escpecly my niece who i brought this for!!! its got a really good moral to it and selena gomez and demi lavato are perfect role models for any girls out there!!

Girls Loved It
Hi, have two girls, we hired this from the library and they loved it so ended up buying it - a very girly film, funny in parts but an easy watch.

I am not a great fan of American comedy. I find most of it to be tacky and putrid. However this film was quite funny and enjoyable.
