From the very first moment of the film when the music began to play I knew I had to get this soundtrack album.
I was not disappointed when I played the CD.
If you have seen the film this score will bring it all back to you, all your favourite scenes and characters.
You are literally taken through the whole film and it is a fine testament to the musical genius that is Joe Hisaishi.
This is one of the best music scores ever written. Even if you haven't seen the film you will want to after listening to this music.
This musical score ranks besides the music of The Lord Of The Rings. It is very easy to listen to and is very memorable. It mixes Western musical influences with Eastern mysticism, the orchestral movements are both rich and sometimes haunting, both the Japanese and English vocals are beautiful and equisite.
This is a CD you will keep going back to.
I cannot recommend this Cd highly enough.

Princess Mononoke, the brilliant anime by Hayao Miyazaki, is one of my all-time favourite animated films and this soundtrack is full of the utterly beautiful music from the film. All thirty-three pieces of music, by Joe Hisaishi, are universally brilliant if unfortunately short in places, and fit the film perfectly. My particular favourites are `The Tatara Women Work Song' and the absolutely gorgeous `The Legend of Ashitaka'. It goes without saying that anyone who likes the Princess Mononoke film will love this soundtrack and this would also be of interest to any fan of oriental music.

Nostalgia Ahoy! 13 Dec 2004
Format:Audio CD
Just listening to this album reminds me of the film greatly. If I close my eyes and just absorb myself into the music, I can picture what actually happened at the time the music was played. This is a true testimony to the film and anyone who watched Princess Mononoke (or indeed, those who haven't) should get this CD.
