Designed by a doctor and used successfully in maternity wards for over 30 years, the Original Slumber Bear helped millions of newborns--and their parents--to get a good night's sleep. The new Slumber Bear Plus features a multi-function sound box playing womb sounds, lullabies, ocean waves and white noise. There is also a recordable feature allowing you to save your own unique message for baby. Comforting sounds lull baby to sleep in minutes and sound and motion sensors reactivate the recording when your baby cries or jostles the bear. Velcro strap allows you to secure the removable sound box to cot rails or pushchairs. Requires four AAA batteries (not supplied).
Each Slumber Bear Plus arrives with its own Silkie. Parents can bond with Baby by keeping Silkie close to their skin, transferring their scent to the blanket. The scent then comforts and reassures Baby when parents are out of reach and the soft, smooth texture provides beneficial tactile stimulation.

I purchased this bear when my baby was 7 weeks old as she could not settle to sleep easily. We use the sound unit strapped to the cot on its own as the bear is a bit cumbersome. We did not see a magic cure of instant calming as soon as the monitor went on,as I had hoped, but she did start to settle better within the first two weeks of using it. Now at 3 months old she starts to wake, the unit activates and she is comforted and can sleep for 30 mins longer, so it works wonders for us, I also find the sound soothing and it helps me sleep after a night time feed. I would definitely recommend this bear and will be purchasing as gifts for pregnant friends.

This is a must have sleep aid product for any parent having problems with thier new born during bed time. Our little girl is 5 weeks old now and this product has helped us greatly in these first tricky weeks.
She sleeps with it every night and its definatly made a difference to her,especialy when she first goes to sleep.(Also helps us fall to sleep but we are knackered anyway!!!)
We dont tend to use it during the day as we feel that a difference between day time sleep and night time sleep needs to be realised.
Simulated "white noise" and "heart beat" seems to realy comfort her while sleepy at night.The "melody" mode gives her a nice soothing noise while chilling out during the day.
I would definatly recommend buying this product from amazon or have a good look on internet as its quite expensive in main stores.
I will defeinalty be recommending,or buying this product for friends who are having a new addition to thier families.

We only ever used the unit, but used it for a good 6 months or more and the only thing I would say is to buy it sooner than we did!

We thought the heartbeat would annoy us but we found it very easy to fall asleep to!

NB we found the bear pretty useless so don't ponder over colour too long -it wouldn't stay on the cot. We just placed the unit at the edge of the cot/moses basket (inside so baby triggered sound)
Batteries lasted us around 6-8 weeks of use every night but if you put the unit in the bear they won't last as long because you will need it on louder.

A present
This was a present for a friend, but they loved it & it worked! The soothing noises seemed to help their baby off to sleep in the early months. I would definately recommend this.
