Book Description

6 Dec 2010 Others (Book 10)
Danice Carter is not one for glass slippers. A stilettos-wearing lawyer at one of Manhattan's most elite establishments, Danice has a very strong grip on reality. So when she's asked by one the firm's founding partners to take on a personal case, Danice knows she's in for the opportunity of a lifetime. All she has to do is convince her top boss' granddaughter, Rosemary, to file a paternity suit. Sounds simple enough...until Danice arrives at Rosemary's home and is pounced on by a handsome stranger. Private investigator McIntyre Callahan's was only following his powerful client's orders: Find Rosemary - at all costs. Instead, he's found a super-hot lawyer prowling around looking for answers he can't give. The half-human, half-Fae Mac tries to warn Danice that she's way in over her head - that Rosemary may roam among The Others, and may have dangerous ties to the Unseelie Court - but she won't be deterred. Even if that means following Mac to the ends of the earth to find Rosemary...or surrendering to his supernatural powers of temptation...until death do they part.

Review

"Christine Warren's The Others novels are known for their humorous twists and turns of otherworldly creatures. Like her other Others novels, PRINCE CHARMING DOESN'T LIVE HERE is an excellently delicious story with great characterization." --"Fresh Fiction"

"Warren always adds plenty of sex and sizzle to her stories, making sure the adventure pops!" --"Romantic Times "on "Prince Charming Doesn't Live Here"

About the Author

Christine Warren is the bestselling author of The Others series, including "Wolf at the Door," "Big Bad Wolf," "Born to Be Wild," and "Black Magic Woman." Born and raised in coastal New England, she now lives as a transplant in the Pacific Northwest. (She completely bypassed those states in the middle due to her phobia of being landlocked.) When not writing, she enjoys horseback riding, playing with her pets, identifying dogs from photos of their underbellies, and most of all reading things someone else had to agonize over.

3.0 out of 5 stars LIGHT ROMANTIC FANTASY... 9 Feb 2012
By Lawyeraau HALL OF FAME TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Mass Market Paperback
When hotshot, up and coming, white-glove law firm lawyer, Danice Carter, is summoned by one of the firm's founding partners for a special assignment of a personal nature, having to do with the partner's granddaughter, Rosemary, she realizes it is sink or swim in a dog-eat-dog world. Little does she know that she would butt heads with Private Investigator McIntyre Callahan, who has also been commissioned to find the very same Rosemary, no matter what the cost.

When Callahan tells Danice what he thinks would be unthinkable, that there is another world out their in which those known as the Others live, and that he himself is half Fae, no one is more surprised than Mac by her response. Believing that Rosemary may be among the others, together they join forces to find her, no matter what the fates may bring.

This is, at times, a funny, humorous book, but it is wholly plot driven with little attempt at character development. It is a quick, breezy, totally forgettable book for those who enjoy romantic fantasy served up light and will offer, at most, a modicum of enjoyment.

3.0 out of 5 stars WORD OF WARNING..... 16 Mar 2011
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Danice Carter and McIntyre Callahan met and became lovers in the eBook Faer Fetched as part of the Fantasy Fix series Christine Warren released via Ellora Cave Publishng.Plus 80 pages of this book are synopsis of the other books in the series so far.

Just wanted to let people know that before purchaseing the book. For warned is for armed-

The ebook has just been buffed up here and there so it spans a whole book-The female lead Danice is a strong character(actually has a back bone-unlike regina-one bite with a stranger). The dialogue contains alot of humour like previouse books in the others series-There are a couple of sex scenes as readers of the series have come to expect.

Liked the book but felt there was something missing-just hope black magic woman is better.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hmmm... 17 Feb 2012
By klynn VINE VOICE
Format:Mass Market Paperback|Verified Purchase
Unfortunately for me, I already have my favourite characters in this series and although this is another great installment I almost felt as if some of the lines had been written already, said already in earlier books. There's nothing entirely new about this book although the storyline flies by and the chemistry between characters is most definitely there. Is this just because Warren is using the tried and true formula? I'm pretty sure it is.

It's a good story, the characters are likeable but it's not ground breaking.

2.0 out of 5 stars series run out of steam 7 July 2011
Format:Mass Market Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book is poor compared to the rest in the series. It really feels as though the writer has run out of steam. Although I loved the other books in the series I won't be buying any more. Christine Warren needs to dream up a new world and characters to write about now.
