I enjoyed the beginning and the middle of this movie, it was very nice. It is a bit odd at the end though that they do not get back to their time, but it has a good energy and is well made. The dvd version I have is a bit down market though as it has no extras, no languages other than English, in fact all the options it gives is "Play movie", that is it. No images on the cover neither except the frog, and the dvd is white. Low budget film maybe? Don't know, but the story is nice.

This version will probably appeal strongest to young adult viewers.
In this one, we get the prequel: The prince, wayward on his ride to his bride-to-be, is cursed to remain a frog until someone kisses him. Then has to find true love until the full moon, or he is back in amphibian shape.
Together with his inept court magician and servant Martin Short - who steals the show, as usual - the prince finds himself in twentieth century Manhattan, his old kingdom gone, a coach girl his only contemporary confidante.
The way the story takes its twists and turns is fun to watch, but don't expect any major highlights.

This is a great little movie for watching on a Saturday afternoon, Martin Short is always fun and Sean McGuire makes a great Prince Charming, the rest of the cast is also very good, Christina Applegate and Billy Connelly particularly. Light and frothy, a feelgood movie that is well worth watching.
