I really like Primus, but I never had the luck to see them live, or to even find a dvd release. But now , the moment has arrived.
At this dvd you can enjoy all Primus videos, from the early Frizzle Fry times to the Antipop album. You can see making of from some of them (nice). But more than 2 hours of dvd give us live perfomances from each album era, an acoustic show and very early live gigs (pre Suck On This).
If you enjoy Primus and want a collection of Primus basics, this is dvd is a need.
The menu is very funny.Typical Primus cover art.

Having bought every other Primus Album around and enjoyed most I was anxiously awaiting the release of this single/DVD combo.
First of all the Single which contains 5 new songs, the new songs at first listen seem to progress nicley from Anti-pop with the same dark atmospheric feel and abundance of effects. I dont think ther will be any radio hits with this release as most of the songs are either too long or too twisted.
The DVD contains every music video released including Tommy the Cat, Jerry was a race car driver, South bound paciderm, Mr Krinkle, My name is Mud, John the fisherman to name a few. Also included are videos of live performances, documentries and the video from the Devil went down to Georgia.
Over all a Pretty good package, a must for any Primus obsesive.

I've given this release a 4 because the accompanying DVD of music videos, live clips etc. is absolutely essential. However, alone, I would only give the EP of new songs 2 out of 5. There was a lot of anticipation surrounding this release. Primus had been on hiatus for three years and fan favourite drummer Tim Alexander was back. Unfortunately, hopes of a return to the glory of Sailing The Seas Of Cheese are quickly squashed when the long meandering opener The Carpenter And The Dainty Bride kicks in (although the bass tone is pretty nice). Primus were now, as the Allmusic Guide put it, putting "jamming before songwriting". However, there is one exception - the frantic Pilcher's Squad. This song is classic Primus and features an amazing seconds-long guitar solo by Larry 'Ler' LaLonde (amusingly bookended by Les Claypool uttering 'go Ler' and 'thanks Ler'!). The rest of it is moody, atmospheric and, well, proggy. It's not bad, it's just the least interesting music they've ever made.

This contains all the Primus videos as well as some rarities (there is a particularly awesome section of Primus in their early years playing on a college radio station). However, what it seriously lacks is interviews with the band which is something that I would really like to have seen. Other than this lack of interviews, I believe this is a truly great release for any Primus fan. The EP that comes with it isnt bad either... :)
