Product Description
When a group of friends onboard a yacht rescue a wounded man from the sea, they find more than they bargained for when he shipwrecks them during the night on an uncharted island. Exploring the jungle the next day, the group discover a deserted military camp and an abandoned dig, but no people. Plot. A remote island. Scientists make a discovery but don't live to reveal it. A shipwreck and more people land on the place where they discover the same thing. Something alive with a taste for flesh.
This was ok in a Predator, missing link, church needs to keep the secret from getting out, kind of thing. But the film seems to lose it's way in the last act. By then we've seen most of the action and then it's survival for a girl as she faces off with the unknown.
I thought the film, as a creature feature wasn't that bad a view. The acting was quite passable and sadly Lance Henricksen was only given a small cameo type role but was nicely violent. The film was shot well although some of the shaky camera scenes didn't appeal to me but seemed appropriate in the film.
Extras nil. UK release. Was released in the USA as Lost Tribe [DVD] [2009] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] and included a commentary and a making of short.

i bought this as it looked good in the tralier and was reasonable priced but it utter crap there a thin plot the acting is dire and its trying to be predator and failing misrable avoid like the plague unless you like guys in stupid monkey suit running around dire

if your a fan of the predator films you'll love this. Not as good as the originals however it manages to revive some of the old feelings of worry and dread that i last experienced when watching the predator films. As i say if you like the predator films watch this.
