Of all the works of modern erotica that I have read (and that's quite a few), this comes out top. The writing is clear, and the scenes well done, with a good balance between the physical acts and the emotional bonds as well. The key character, Sara, is originally out to get revenge on her two-timing ex-husband, but soon finds herself emotionally embroiled with his new wife and stepchildren. Meanwhile the husband Michael is out seducing the new office girl. Ultimately, Sara becomes the sexual focus for the entire family, and Michael's indiscretions catch up with him. The sex is varied, involving group and lesbian as well as basic scenes. The characters are well-developed, and we are sympathetic with most of them. (The exception is Michael, who tries to have his cake and eat it, being pomiscuous himself but expecting his wife to remain ignorant and chaste, as opposed to Sara's boyfriend who is equally promiscuous, but is honest, caring, and who adopts an open relationship). The plot is well-handled, and the emotional aspects (often neglected in male erotica) are realistic and fully developed. This adds another dimension to the powerfully detailed sex scenes - this is part of what makes it my favourite. My only regret is that I am unable to find another book by htis author stil in print.
To sum up - BUY THIS BOOK, ASAP!
