I enjoyed this book; the subject was unusual and allowed for interesting plot developments. Thankfully, all the usual gang are involved and Diana Gallagher does a good job of capturing all their eccentricities and quirks, although they do feel a little exaggerated at times. I was, however, slightly disappointed with the new characters in the book which are a bit one-dimensional. This is especially true of 'Shugra', the main villain. We are told she is utterly and completely evil but this is not always convincing, even to the point where she occasionally seems sympathetic. This may be an attempt top add depth to the character but I felt it detracted from the atmosphere. The finale is powerful and has some lovely touches. (It takes the phrase 'working together' to a whole new level) I was sad to have finished the adventure. Overall, this is an enjoyable book which captures the feel of the T.V. series. It is an easy read with few surprises but is ideal for those wanting an extra Buffy 'fix'. I would recommend it.
