In this book, Nora presented the very latest research on diet and nutrition and how it helps the body to recover from a life time of abuse under the standard recommended diet (low fat, high carb). She shows clearly how sugar in the body (converted from dietary carbohydrate) is so damaging and how limiting/eliminating the carb and replacing it with saturated fat can revert the damage. She also shows how some of the main ingredients of the standard diet (gluten, dairy and soy) are essentially poisons that are killing us slowly.

This is the book to read if you are suffering from chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia or feeling tired all the time. It is also the book to read if you seem to be healthy, and just want to improve your health a bit. I thought of myself as healthy. Well, I didn't know what being healthy could be until after I start to seriously follow the low carb, high saturated fat diet.

Although the book does an excellent job on answering WHY you should change your diet, it does not offer much information on HOW to do it. So it is important to read a few other books such as The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living: An Expert Guide to Making the Life-Saving Benefits of Carbohydrate Restriction Sustainable and Enjoyable, and search the web for experience from paleo dieters.
